Recommended article: “The New Silk Road”, by Professor Peter Nolan

Train in Chinese countrysideThe New Silk Road is a series of projects to bring Asia and Europe into closer transport connections and, thereby, its people and nations closer.

China is the architect of this to enable goods to move either way quicker than merely by ship.

This is another of those transformational projects that will change lives for billions of people over the next 50 years – imagine being able to get on a high speed train in London to go to Beijing with stops along the way!

It is the prospect of opening up Siberia, Mongolia, Central Asia, South East Asia and China and many other nations to road and rail connections.

This article is one that Professor Peter Nolan wrote for the China Development Forum at the invitation of China.

You will enjoy the journey into the future.

Regards,
Stephen
