As Bri gains momentum, so policy makers and corporate planners and senior executives are trying to fathom this project which goes out into 2050 at least. But its reach is now into Africa, the Middle east and South America, the Caribbean and the Arctic.
It is a reorganisation of global development patterns, with a new concept of transnational infrastructure at its core. Leading economists used to criticise China for over promoting its investment in infrastructure before building consumer demand. Now they are backing a BRI approach which is based on China’s development pattern.
This article comes from deep within the Chinese academic support system for BRI. The academic and think tanks are a key part of China’s scientific approach which is the CPC core work method.
