The Future Structure of China – the Yangtze River Delta Region

This document is very important for those who need to understand the three key pillars of China’s development up to 2035. The Greater Bay Area was the first, but the last Paragraph here throws some doubt on which of these two regions is the lead region. Perhaps it does not matter, or does it suggest the domestic market is the priority, given the tensions with the USA.

Time will tell but the shape of the future is clearer. Perhaps the eventual whole area will be a “metropolis”. This is  a vast area but does not now stretch to Yunnan.

The third Region is the one that covers Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei Province.

I was told that eventually there will be 15. But I was told that back in 2007, and changes do happen.

So a short but important read.
